Would you tell me, please, which way I aught to go from here?
Welcome everyone! I'm so excited since today is the release of the new images here at HeartcraftPaper!
I was inspired the other day by my daughter, who had asked me about Alice Through The Looking Glass. I explained to her that C.S. Lewis wrote the story. It came out as a child's story, but to be honest if you have ever ready any of the other books by C.S. Lewis you would think that it an odd tale seeing as the majority of his books had a base in religious theology. Either way... I made this month's set of images to reflect my favorite characters from the tall tale.
My first card from this set is of course the main character of the book...Alice! If any of you have seen the Disney rendition then you will know just how I was inspired.
Here is what you will need to make your card.
Let's Start Coloring!
Once I have everything cut out, I will start by coloring since this is the step that takes the longest. I will be able to quickly pull this together since my machine does all the manual labor for me.
Now that we have completed the coloring in of our image...we are ready to pull it all together.
Now you will add the black backing to your white card stock so that is shows a 1/8" all down to your 5 x 5 Alice themed card stock. Adhere the whole thing to your card base.
Add 3D foam to the back of the image and sentiment. I placed down the image first since I wand to work around the image and not have my image work around my embellishments.
Pulling the Drink Me Bottle is pretty straight forward. Layer it with black, white, yellow and gold for the cork. Place 3D foam on the back of the image
Place 3D foam on the back of the bottle and place in the upper right hand corner of the card. You want to turn it about 45 degrees.
Below is a tutorial for how to assemble the flowers from the Vintage wedding collection.
Finally I adhered the roses to my card using 3D squares. I decided on one in the upper right and two on the lower left. My final touch was a small crystal. This was just because it needed a little bling. Now you have a card that is perfect for invitations, birthdays, thinking of you or just because.
This is the end, but not goodbye...
As you can tell this is now the end...until next time! I do hope that you have enjoyed this how-to.
