Easter is almost here!  Are you ready?

I know, Easter is right around the corner!  I'm so excited, mostly because it's a time for family and lots of fun!  I usually like to send out all of my cards about a week in advanced of the holiday, so I'm work extra diligently to get out all of my Easter greetings.

This is one that I came up with for the February 2018 Crafting Desert Diva's Release.  The image set comes from the Jellybean Kisses Stamp Set.  This set is so adorable and I fell in love with the bunny trio.  I figured that I should make something extra cute just to showcase this little critters.

This is what you will need for this set:
  • White Card Base (7" x 5")
  • 2 White Cardstock (6 3/4" x 4 3/4")
  • Mint Cardstock (6 7/8" x 4 7/8")
  • Copic Markers:  Scribble Dies (V04, YG41, R83, Y00), Bunny 1 (E31, E81, Y02, BG13, BG11), Bunny 2 (E31, E81, V12, R81, E11, BG11), Bunny 3 (E31, E81, R81, BG11, E11, C1, C6, E15)
  • Scribble Dies (the smaller of the two)
  • Scotch Tape
  • Distress Oxide inks (Cracked Pistachio, Worn Lipstick & Wilted Violet)
  • Pink Heart Sequins
  • 1/2" Score Tape
  • 1/2" Foam Tape

Now that you have all of your supplies, lets begin!  I'm super excited because this is a CAS (Clean & Simple) Card.  There is not much more to the front of the card, it is kept with as much white space as possible.

1. Cut out your Scribble Circles

We are going to begin with preparing our Scribble Circles.  You will be using the first of your white cardstock.  From the left, you will place your die 1/2" from the edge and about 3/4" from the top.  Next you will Place your die 1/2" from the right and 3/4" from the top (I kind of eye balled it).  Finally center you die between your two outer cuts and 1/2" from the bottom.
This will give you an inverted triangular setting.  Set aside the card stock and begin to color in your scribble dies.

2. Color in your Scribble Circles

On the scribble dies there are cute little star detailing, which is where I began to color in using Y00 (because its the lightest of all the colors).  This way you an basically fill in the shape and then come back in on each die cut using the three different colors V04, YG11 & R83 to fill in and give shape to some of the stars that don't quiet fully cut out.

3. Lets Tape Them Down, Shall We?

Take your white card stock with the cute outs in it and place it face down on your work space.  insert our scribble dies face down as well.  Using scotch tape or any clear tape, adhere them to the back of your card in several areas around to add some stability.

4. Add A Little Color

So here is where you are going to add in some color.  Using your second piece of white card stock you will blend in some colors with the new Distress Oxide Inks.  To Do this you will place your card stock with the cut outs a top and place a small dot in the center using a pencil and remove your cardstock.  With the enter now indicated on the second piece of white, you will blend from the dot outwards.  The overlay as an indicator for how much more blending you should have.

5. Bling It Up

Using glitter shapes you will add in some bling. I have linked some shapes above which are about the same size as I used for this portion of my card making. Using a glue pen will be the best way to lay these down and adhere them.

6. Layer It

Using  1/2" score tape you will line the perimeter of the white blended cardstock.  Peel back about 1 1/1" of the tape covering from opposite corners.  This will help to center your card before you stick it down.  Center the white cardstock over your mint green and press down on the corners that have the exposed tape.  now all you have to do is simply pull the remainder of the tape cover off and press down.  This is a nifty trick for card placement. 7. Give  It Dimension

You are now ready to put your Scribble Circle overlay on as your top layer.  In order to do this you will use 1/2" wide double sided foam tape.  Don't get to tape happy, but add enough to give a good support.  Trim down to size if need be.

<<< see picture for reference.

Don't forget to add some tape to your little bunnies!!!

8. And Stick

Place your overlap over your blended cardstock and center before adhering it.   This gives a lovely effect of depth and color in what would be a rather plain white card.

Below you will see the coloring information for the bunnies.

Now that you have all three bunnies colored in, place them in the center of your scribble circles and adhere them down.  Now you can add in any sentiment you want.  I used this cute little banner to make my sentiment.

And Viola!!!
