Bunnies, bunnies everywhere!

Hi everyone and welcome back!  For those of you that are first timers to my blog, WELCOME!!!

Today we have BUNNIES!!!!  These cuties come from the Jellybean Kisses Stamp Set from Craftin Desert Divas.  They are always so cute and adorable. This is a fairly easy card to make so you will it will not be too long of a post.

Here are the items you will need to make this card:
  • Jellybean Kisses
  • A2 Card Base
  • A2 size white cardstock (5 1/2" x 4 1/4")
  • A2 size yellow cardstock
  • Copic Markers (listed below)
  • Clear Zig Wink of Stella
  • Largest of the Fancy Frame Dies
  • Double ended fish tale Flag Banner Dies
  • Happy Die
  • Happy Sentiments
  • Sorted Shapes 2 Stencil
  • 1/2" Score Tape
  • 3d Foam
  • Easter themed ribbon
  • Heat Foil
  • toner Paper
  • Laminator

Step 1: Make your background images

Lets begin by stamping out our three bunnies in random locations on the white card stock.

You will need all of the following Copic colors to color the images on your card:

E000, E31, C01, BG11, BG13, Y00, Y11 YR23, R81, B32, BV00, E81, C3 and C9.  Click on the image below to enlarge.

Once you have colored in all of your images, you will then die cut this with the largest of the Fancy Frames Dies.  This will give you a lovely scalloped edge and stitched detailing along the boarder.

Step 2: There Can Never Be Enough Glitter

You will want to add in some details using Clear Zig Wink of Stella.  Overlay the area where you would like to add in random dots of glitter.  I prefer to use this method for a delicate detail that is not overpowering.

Once you are done with the details, you will glue it down to your yellow card stock in the center.

Step 3: Let's Lay It Down

Crafters often ask me how I lay down my card with such ease when using Double Sided Adhesive.  first lets set some 1/2" Score Tape on the back of the card all along the edges.  As you can see from the picture below, I lift up the edges on opposite corners and fold them back.

Place the image on your card base and you can center it with out pressing down just yet.  The folded section of the Score Tape will act as a buffer.  Once you have it where you would like it, press down firmly on the opposite corners.  Now all you have to due is pull back on the folded back tape covering and then press down where you have removed it.  Easy Peasy!

Step 4:  A Little Bit of Foil

The next step will require the use of a heat laminator.  I have a 6" Minc foil applicator.   Die cut out your "Happy" sentiment from Toner cardstock.  Lay it face down on the matte side of the foil sheet, place it in the heat sleeve and pass it through the machine. This will cover the whole cut in this pretty mint green foil, or any foil of your choosing for that matter.

Step 5: The Finishing Touches.

We are down to the last leg of this card making project.  First make your banner die cut and stamp the "Ester" Sentiment.  I colored around the edge of my banner, this is optional.  I adhered the banner to the card using 3D foam.   I did the same with my "Happy" sentiment (had to cut down the 3D foam to fit) and placed it right above my banner.  Finally I made a cute bow using Easter themed ribbon and adhered that with 3D foam as well.

Now you're all set and ready to send.  I hope you have enjoyed this post!
