Cute Chick Card Tutorial

Everyone has a CUTE CHICK in them!

Hi Everyone and welcome back to HeartcraftPaper!

Being on the CDD design team allows me to come up with new designs and ideas to share with you and today is no exception. I have this cutie up called "CUTE CHICK", with a step-by-step video I made for Crafting Desert Divas.  

This image is a digital image.  While many people feel intimidated by using these image for fear  of smudging, I'll give you a few simple pointers to help with this.

1. Do not use a toner printers.  Your images should always be printed out on an inkjet.
2. allow the ink to set and dry for a little over a 24 hour period.  This will allow the paper to absorb and the ink to dry.
3. when working with overly saturated black areas (not lines, such as eyes), dab around those areas with your artist markers.  This way you do not re-saturate the printer dye.

Now let me give you the items you will need to make this card. 

Image:  Cute Chick (printed on an area to be cut out in A2 size)
Circle Die:  Shake It Up Dies 
Banner Die: Flag Banner Dies 
​Card base:  A2 (4 1/4" x 5 1/2")
White cardstock 110 lb. weight A2 size
Washi tape 1/4" wide
Distress Ink or Oxide Ink: Shaded Lilac
Copic Markers:  Colors listed in video
PrismaColor Pencils:  Colors listed in vide
Sequins: Fairy Dust Sequins
Zots: Tiny for Bling
Double sided tape: Xpress 1/2"
Tacky Glue
Black Gelly Pen
White Gelly Pen
