This Saturday is World Card Making Day! YAY! This is the day for every card maker is looking forward to. The day that we challenge ourselves to make items and use techniques that we never thought we would. Card makers around the world share their creations and not a single card is the same. Card makers are the least appreciated artist there is. Big companies print out cards by the thousands and card makers make a handful in 30 minutes. Handmade cards can be expensive, but most people don't think about the time and energy put into make the one card they hold in their hand. That is why I am glad to say that I now have found whole communities across the world that are joining in to bring notoriety to our craft. So bring it on! Challenge yourself today! Go to YouTube and find a card making technique that you find interesting and make a card of your own. Maybe you are not the type of person that has stamps and all supplies that many card makers have, but you don't really need it. a pair of scissors, a printer, some color pencils and glue is more than enough. I put for this challenge...make a shadowbox for thanksgiving. you don't really need dies or anything. I will be putting up a YouTube video for making a shadowbox card. Share pics of your creations here and I will post them on a separate page to show it off for the from Oct. 7th to December 1st. Goodluck and have fun!
