![]() I had a very busy weekend. With Halloween fast approaching I'm preparing for my kid's, as well as that of greeting cards, kits, and decorations. Did I fail to mention I have a husband and a full time job too. Phew! I'm tired just thinking of it. With all this craziness going on, I had one heck of a productive weekend. I entered into a contest in Stamp Junkies, a group on Facebook. The contest is to win a set of lace butterfly wafer dies. The challenge, make a card that symbolizes the things we will miss about summer now that we are into fall. When I stared with this challenge one song came to mind...'Summer Days' from the movie Grease. I thought, " What a perfect sentiment!" The next thing that I did was dig through my stamp stash to see what I could find. Thank goodness that I has recently had a haul from Simon Says Stamp, where I purchased this wonderful layered stamp set of ice cream from Hero Arts. It was perfect because it has the dies that come with it. I set out to me a cute card that I now have sitting on my desk at work on a stand (Sorry I grew up on Grease). The set comes with the layers for a scoop of ice cream , soft serve and the cone. Oh! Don't forget the toppings! there is a cherry, dots for gumballs, chocolate chips, sprinkles, nuts and syrup drizzle. On this particular card you will note i used the gumball stamp for my background and then I accented with Glossy Accents (which i don't think shows to well in this picture, but eh!). Hopefully soon to follow this posting I will make a tutorial for layered stamps. Have a great week!
