A Rainbow is a reminder of better times to come. You just have to keep looking forward.
I'm so excited tp be sharing my latest creations with you all. This is something that I took so much time and pride in making. I made total use of my Cricut as well. If you are wanting to follow me you can find my items on Pinterest
My friend Eva Begany hosted a craft & crop event in Whittier, Ca. and the theme was rainbows. Since it this was a March event, she didn't particularly want to have a standard St. Patrick's Day theme. I totally loved the thought of such a colorful theme. Even more so because it matches my website colors! I chose to do more of a bright pastel than the standard primary colors. We had a choice of three crafts for trading
Loaded ClipboardThe Clipboard
For the loaded clipboard we were asked to decorate a 6in. x 9in" clip board. The idea was to make it as colorful as possible. We could use anything to decorate it, but it had to have three things attached to it: a mini pocket letter, two tags, and three embellishments.
The Mini Pocket
For the mini pocket I didn't just want to make cards embellished with colorful things. I truly wanted them to have some meaning. So I came up with representation cards of quotes. Can you guess what they are?
I figured it would be a cute idea if people could figure them out. Personally I like the Skittles quote.
The Tags
The EmbellishmentsThe Rainbow Box
For the rainbow box I wanted to again keep the paper pattern going. I sent my file to print at Kinkos so that I could print out a large 11 in. x 12 in. print out in order to cover the whole box. Modge Podge was my friend for this event. I used a varying circle design from the digital paper pack. In the box we were asked to put in an item of every color of the rainbow. It could be anything we wanted. Me being me, My rainbow has 7 colors from the digital paper pack so I decided one item type for the 7 colors of my paper pack in rainbow rather than just one single color. I always have to go against the tide.
The Rain"BOW"s - Pink
Love the pun! and yes they are bows in different polka-dot patterns. I figured this one would be a cute embellishment pack to have.
Rainbow After The Rain - Peach
This next one has a cute little quote I came up with, "You are my rainbow after the rain." I made a rosette badge that could be used in any way. It would make a perfect gift topper, badge, card embellishment or more.
Rainbow Through Planning - Yellow
Okay...So I went to my stash of unopened planner items (cuz you can never have enough) and pulled out my a wonderful Rainbow pen, rainbow washi, and a cute bunny magnet from Simply Gilded. I used a simple yellow background for this gift.
Rainbow Baker's Twine - Mint
So your probably wondering why baker's twine...but look at all the colors! it's perfect for cards, gifts, and you can even use all the colors at once to embellish a tag.
Rainbow Roses - Aqua
I have always loved having all the colors of the rainbow represented in flowers and how well nature knows how to combine and look how cute!
Rainbow Leaf Ribbon - Light Blue
Okay... So I found this browsing Amazon and totally fell in love! I just can't believe how adorable this is.
Rainbow Chevron Ribbon - Lilac
You can never have enough ribbon and what's not to like about chevron print. Even more so because it's rainbow color!
So there you have my gifts...one for each color of the rainbow. I think I may even have tossed in a few more items after the fact. That's totally up to each person. I think that it helps to de-stash as well as get items you probably never had in your supply.
