Wow! Welcome back everyone! we are trudging along here and the year is coming to an end! Its moving so quickly that I can hardly keep my head above it all. Christmas is now just around the corner and I can hardly make to make some treats as gifts! One of my favorite things to do for the holidays is to make little gift boxes to my family, friends and staff. This year I decided I wanted to make a milk carton so I developed the Milk Carton SVG. Here is what I cam e up with. Below are the items you will need to make this creation.
O My Christmas Tags!To begin, I used my the pint and cut feature of my Cricut machine. This allowed me to print my image onto the tag that comes with the milk carton. First we will start with the coloring of our image. Almost done with the tag. The last thing to do is add the sentiment. This sentiment comes with the image and like the rest of the items in the shop this is ready to cut with the print and cut feature. It comes with an offset as you can see. The sentiment is printed with a white area surrounding it. Using foam squares I adhered this to the tag to allow the sentiment to really pop and not be melded into the tag. And How Do I Put My Box Together? So now we are ready to move on and make our Milk Carton. I set the milk carton to cute at 8.706" W x 6.571" H. This was the perfect size to use the print and cut feature since I wanted to use a digital pattern for this. I set it to print with the pattern from the Snowman Bliss paper pack. Once it was cut I just needed to simply put it together. Below is the video tutorial for the assembly of the box. The Finishing Touches! Now we are down to the final steps. Here is where you can add a little something. I decided that I wanted to seal my box using a ribbon since I used the tag that comes with the SVG file. And here you have it!This is a simple way to make great gifts and the fact that you are using a die cutting machine to make these items makes it so much easier to make quantity.
I hope that you have enjoyed this tutorial. Come back and visit again soon! XOXO HeartcraftPaper
