Spring is here and summer is coming. This is the time to spread a little cheer.
Today I am working with an adorable girl and her duckies. This reminds me of my own childhood when my parents gave me a pair of mallard ducklings. They were the cutest! Of course they followed me everywhere and were my shadows. This is by far my favorite image from StarStampz. I also sued a the Pastel Rainbow Digital Paper Pack.
Getting Crafty With It!
Woohoo! it's assembly time. First I adhered the bottom layers of my card (the aqua rectangle) to the A2 card base and then repeated it again with the white piece. This left a very small edge of aqua peeking out.
Next, I moved onto the scalloped oval. I used double sided foam tape to give the card some dimension. I layered the oval on top of the cat tails. I had them peeking out of the upper left hand corner. I glued this down before adhering the scalloped oval.
Time to work the image. I didn't give this one dimension because of the i wanted the color to peek through the circular punches. For this I simply used liquid glue and this helped me adjust my image in the center.
The sentiment was printed and then cut on this set of banners. I decided to go with yellow to match the little ducks. I punched this with my Cropadile and added a yellow eyelet to hold the two banners tother. I decided to curl the ends of the banner using a creasing knife and simply used liquid glue to attach this to the lower part of the image.
I felt that the card was lacking a little something on the upper right, so to balance this out I used Nuvo Drops to make three dots.
Here is the card all completed. This is perfect for telling someone they are special to you, for a baby shower or pretty much anything. I am really excited at how this turned out. simple and clean.
