Hi everyone!!! Welcome to HeartcraftPaper! The other day I was looking at the collection of stamps I have. Sometimes I feel as if I will never use them all or even how to use them. If get stumpted I will fall back on to a template. I have posted three above to share. There is nothing wrong with using a template to make your card designs since it can be altered in a plethora of ways. Really it's just a matter of how you use them. Different sentiments, images, paper designs, embellishment types. Because of this you can use one template a literally make hundreds of different cards. The idea is that you use your own talents to make the cards all your own. Maybe you like watercolor and wish to make your backgrounds with water colors. You can use Ranger Distress Inks for a blended back ground. Maybe you want to make your own stamped background paper and this will be the base of your card. This is just a matter of using your imagination. I'll show you some examples Below you will find one card I made from the first template depicted. For this card I changed to orientation of the flowers, used the center for my image and added in a few embellishments (birthday banner and pearls) I used pattern rather than just solid paper so that the card has some movement to. This next card you will find that it is a modified version of the second template. This is one of my favorites. I was able to incorporate the no-line water color technique for this. I modified the orientation of the larger fishtail banner so that I could use it for the image which came out so lovely. I also used printed paper and washing tape for the other banners. At the time that I made this card I had just purchased Heidi Swapp MINC. ![]() As you can see, there are so many things you can make with one simple template. It is only limited by your imagination and what you can create with it.
For beginner card makers who have not mastered coloring with artist markers, color pencils, or water colors, there is still the use of printed images or 3D stamps sold at craft stores. So you see any person at any level can make cards as long as they have the template to get their imagination flowing. Share your works of art using these three templates so I can add them to a gallery! Also I have a new page for card making layouts so you can head there for some ideas!
