Hi everyone! I know it's been a while, but I have been very busy this holiday season. I'm working on make new video tutorials as well as trying to keep up with my shop. (don't forget to visit my Etsy shop link on the side.) With all of the holiday coming up we are now pushing for gift buying and holiday decorations. Sometimes we ask ourselves how can we make our gifts stand out from all the rest. Most stores sell generic made and mass manufactured items. Well, I think that that you will never be able to find something that can replace a handmade item as lovely as this tag. time are getting harder every year and the kids are expecting the most expensive and greatest thing. Most of the time we don't always have the funds to buy the best, but receiving a wonderful package of homemade cookies decorated with wonderful tags and bows says a lot. It says, "I cared enough about you to take my time and make this with all the love I have for you." We sometimes need a small reminder of what the holidays truly are. They are the time when we can show all those around us how much we truly love them. And now that my rant is over....we can begin with the fun! So recently I was in my Stamp Junkies Facebook group and during the month of September there was a huge giveaway. During that time I found a small mom and pop shop called Craftin Desert Divas. This shop is run by Tara Bruening from her home! She is a one man show. She makes time to run her Facebook group, her shop and her blog. The thing that I liked the most about her store was the fact that she has her own set of dies, that you won't typically find elsewhere and the fact that she has SVG cutting files for her stamps! So if you don't have the brother Scan and Cut you don't have to worry! Recently I purchased the Holly Jolly stamp set, which are totally adorable. I thought how can I use these images to make something special. I had yet to make out some tags. Every year I make tags and cards for all of the employees in my corporate office, as well as my office managers. That means every year I have to make something special and different from the year before. This was the perfect opportunity for me to start on my gift tags! What you are going to need: Stitched Tags Holly Jolly stamp set Stitched Box Die Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Mowed Lawn Umbrella Ink - Ruby Red White cardstock Green cardstock Tiny red buttons Glue Scissors Adhesive foam Grosgrain ribbon Stencil Everything you need to know for making the tag is listed below.
