Ghouls and Goblins come out at night, the move and haunt with such a fright!
This challenge is anything goes. Make a card, a tag, some sort of scrapbooking page. there is no theme, it can be anything or any image. As always there is a prize. Head on over to the blog to enter your creation. Let's get started, shall we?
Time for a haunting time.Because I want to give this a distressed look for Halloween I used Distress Ink in order to achieve this. I started with Hickory Smoke all around the edges and blending some of the ink towards the center of the card. I then used Black Soot sparadically along the edges of the paper. Next, adhere the distressed paper to the card base. At this time you can choose to ad a sentiment to the inside of the card. This is completely up to you. Using 1/8" double sided tape along the left side of the card, adhere the crinkle binding in a pleating motion. Using a pleating motion will make the most of the crinkle in the binding. Glue down the image to the black glitter backing using double sided tape. Because of the uneven surface of the glitter paper, it's easier to use the double sided tape. Now it's time to place the image onto the card using foam tape. I used 1/4" but you can use up to 1/2" if you choose. Make sure to center it in the middle of the card. Layer up the "BOO" sentiment using liquid glue. I used the black glitter paper for this so that the follow through of the color and paper comes through. It will also make it pop. Using a combination of liquid glue and foam tape adhere the "Eye of Newt" bottle on the right side of the image. I guess this is what made the little ghost girl what she is today. Also using foam tape and liquid glue, adhere the sentiment centered at the bottom of the image. This will leave the bottle just behind the "BOO". Finally, add a set of three Nuvo drops in the upper left corner in varying sized. This helps to balance the card since the crinkle binding is all long the left side. Here is the completed project.
