Hi everyone! Welcome back! I'm so excited that you could visit my blog once again.
Let's craft to the sky's limit! Here we begin with our image. This image was printed out so that it would be 3.5" tall. This will give us details big enough to color in the piece easily. Using one of the 4.25" x 5.5" white cardstock, stencil in clouds in Squeezed Lemonade. I love this four-way cloud stencil because it really adds color depth to your projects easily. Using the largest of Peekaboo Circle Die Set I cut out a circle from the Swiss Dots Petite Lemonade cardstock. I also used that same die to cut out a circle in the center one of my two remaining A2 white cardstock pieces. Once cut, use Tumbled Glass and bled some color around the lower half of the cut out on the white cardstock. You will leave the top portion blank. I did enough blending downwards since I knew that part of the card would be covered later on in the project. Using the quilting technique you will inlay the yellow peekaboo circle in the white cardstock cut out face side down. Tape the two pieces together using Scotch tape. For this next part we will need the piece of acetate, With double sided tape line the out side of the circle. Peel back the covering and adhere the acetate to the cutout. Now add foam tape along the back side making sure to create a sealed square around the circle cut out as this will be the well you place the sequins in. Now comes the fund part, making the shaker element. I found a really cute sequin mix that i based my coloring on. I loved the pastels in it. place a good helping on to the center of your cloud stenciled white cardstock. Peel back the foam tape on the window piece and adhere it down. Adhere the shaker piece using liquid glue to your bard base. As you can see here I have my boo-boos but I simply hid them. Using the last piece of 4.25 " x 5.5" white cardstock you will die cut across the short side three sets of cloud clusters varying in height. Use the dies the the shaker to decide the heights. Using Squeezed Lemonade blend in some color onto the cloud. In small areas blend in Worn Lipstick to add some spots of color over the Squeezed Lemonade. You should have three pieces that will overlap with large areas of white that will allow the other pieces to show. Use liquid glue to adhere this to the shaker element from the bottom down. I used the Happy Birthday die to cut out the sentiment. Using liquid glue, adhere the sentiment down to the lower portion of the cloud clusters. Finally, mount the image onto the card using foam tape. Set it on the right side of the shaker window. Here is how the finished project will look.
