Mommy! I'm Bored!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know we have all hear this before. I have two of my own and the fact that I am constantly being told that the boredom is setting it is starting drive me a bit nuts! With that I set out to think of things for the kids to do other than watch TV.
1. Reading E-Books
If you have Prime, you can get free books with Prime Reading! Below are several books I found that are perfect for teens and tweens. Best of all, these books can keep them entertained for hours...depending on your child's likes and dislikes.
2. Arts & Crafts!
I can't forego the arts and craft section! As you can see my blog is mostly related to Arts & Crafts. Here are a few items I found that would be perfect for younger kids of all ages. They are inexpensive crafts that can keep young ones occupied for hours at a time. These items are great because you can always make more by simply buy more supplies, it's no limited.
3. Family Game Night Every Other Day
Make game night special. Each person in the family takes turns picking one game to play for the night. Make it a pizza night so it's easy cooking and fun. Make sure everyone has tumblers for drinks and a sweet prize for the winner!
3. Movie Night Twice A Week
While I would love to make it a movie night every night, it takes away the anticipation of knowing when it's coming. So I think twice a week is good. Each person in the family takes turns at picking a family movie. You can stream or rent. Spectrum has made Showtime and Starz free for the time being until April 7th i believe. I like making movie tickets for everyone to hand over to the person acting as the user. I will even Put up premier posters around the room. I like to make some popcorn bowls for each person. I'll even set up the blankets for watching a movie. What fun!
4. Dance Party Kareoke
Let's Party! Get the whole family together for some singing and dancing. Why not, no one is watching and you can have a few laughs too. This is a great way to get some exercise in too! Make a challenge of it. One member of the family can pick a song and the next member to sing it. The person with the least amount of mistakes wins! Video record the fun and share with your friends on YouTube / Instagram / Facebook!
5. Family Cooking Classes
The whole family can learn to cook! There are several kits online that you can find to teach your kids some science as well as cooking! Have two family members organize a "class" for the rest of the family. Make paper chef hats make a short video and share it on Facebook!
